| Dokshitzer Nigun |
![]() Chassidim brought to Lubavitch tunes from various localities, which were called after their places of origin. This melody was composed by the Chabad disciples of Dokshitz, a small chassidic town in the Vilna district. It is a lively tune of four stanzas. The joy and gaiety increase in intensity from stanza to stanza. This melody is often sung at chassidic gatherings. |
